This is an awesome taco recipe! The steak is so flavorful with just the right smokiness and hint of heat from the chipotle sauce. The avocado adds the perfect creaminess. These steak tacos pair wonderfully with my Cilantro-Lime Rice.
In a large bowl, add the steak cubes, garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper, adobo sauce, lime juice, and agave syrup. Fold until meat is evenly seasoned. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for an hour or up to 4 hours.
Heat a large non-stick sauté pan over medium high to high heat and add oil. Depending on the size of your pan you may need to cook your steak in batches. Add the steak to the pan creating a single layer making sure not to over crowd your pan. Cook for 5-6 minutes (or until desired “done”ness of meat) stirring often. Give the pan a few gentle shakes in between stirring this will help create a crispy crust on the meat. Remove steak and place into a bowl and cover until you are ready to assemble tacos.
Create each taco by adding the chipotle steak bites to the tortilla and topping with diced avocado, onion, and cilantro.
