Homemade Simple Marinara Sauce

You will love the fresh herbs in this sauce! With an easy technique and few ingredients this sauce is simple to make. You will never have to buy a jar of marinara sauce again! You can use this sauce as a spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, or as a dipping sauce. If you like spicy, add red chili flakes or cayenne to the mix!

In a food processor add garlic cloves and pulse until garlic is minced (scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula in between pulsing). Add tomatoes (with their juice) and fresh herbs and blend until smooth. Pour sauce into a medium sauce pan and add salt and olive oil. Whisk until blended and cover with the lid. Simmer on medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Adriana’s Tip –

“To make a quick snack for the kiddos, cut a piece of bread into strips, drizzle olive oil over top, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake until golden brown and serve with this marinara sauce (warmed) for dipping."
